Dry Eye Practitioner of the Year Award

The BCLA is looking for an Eyecare Professional who can demonstrate an integration of a successful Dry Eye Clinic into their practice, set up to deliver ongoing patient care in all elements of Dry Eye and Ocular Surface Health.

The BCLA Dry Eye Practitioner of the Year Award will be given to an individual working in practice, with a proven record in successfully managing Dry Eye patients. It is aimed to honour and recognise the work of an Eyecare Professional who has improved the health, comfort, and care of Dry Eye patients with the successful establishment of a specialist Dry Eye Clinic.

Nominee must be an Eye Care Professional, Contact Lens Optician or Optometrist, who can demonstrate an understanding of managing all the varying elements of Dry Eye patients. The nominee should be willing to share their treatment option plans if required by the judging panel to assess criteria for the suitability of the award. They should also be able to demonstrate how their Dry Eye Clinic supports their varying patient’s needs, maintaining their Ocular Surface Health, and will need to show an in-depth understanding of a range of products/treatments available for Dry Eye patients and their specific uses.

Any member of the BCLA may nominate any person they feel is qualified for the award.
