Welcome Reception

Introduced in 2014, the Welcome Reception will again take place in the Exhibition Hall. Take your time to wander around the exhibition and enjoy complimentary drinks and nibbles at the BCLA Stand and visit our 2017 Exhibitors. 

This event is open to all delegates, exhibition visitors and accompanying persons from 18:00 - 19:00. 


BCLA 40th Anniversary Awards Dinner 
Saturday 10 June 2017, St George's Hall, Liverpool 

Ticket price: £99 per person

BCLA invites you to attend the 2017 BCLA Black & White Awards Dinner. Guests attending this event will be treated to a fantastic evening in The Great Hall (pictured, top left) of St. George's Hall taking place on the evening of Saturday 10 June 2017. This exclusive dinner, will begin with a drinks reception on arrival, followed by a delicious three course sit down meal. This is a great opportunity for conference delegates to come together to network, build new and existing relationships, to relax and enjoy dinner in beautiful surroundings. 

Tickets include a short coach transfer (return) from the ACC Liverpool to St. George's Hall. Dinner tickets should be purchased in advance.  Note if you require dinner tickets please contact the BCLA team at the registration desk at the ACC, Liverpool. Dinner enquiries should be made after 4.00pm Friday 9 June.

Reserving your table places at the Dinner
Once you have purchased your ticket(s) for the Dinner, you must reserve your table places by clicking here for the online BCLA 2017 Dinner Table Booking Form.  

Please note that you will only be able to reserve a table place for a guest that has a confirmed Delegate Package and Dinner ticket purchase as you will need to give their Order Confirmation number on this reservation.

Please ensure you have viewed the table plan before reserving or emailing.


Please note: places at the Dinner are limited therefore if you are reserving less than 11 places (i.e. not a full table) you may be seated with other dinner guests.

Places on the tours are very limited so please book in advance to avoid disappointment.


1. Walking Tour of Liverpool’s Majestic Waterfront

Liverpool Waterfront - 'the greatest place in England'
In
 2015 Liverpool's Waterfront, the jewel in the city's crown was voted ‘the greatest place in England’ by the UK public. A Walking Tour of this renowned World Heritage Site with its stunning mercantile architecture, iconic Liver Birds, historic Mersey Ferries and magnificent Albert Dock is a must for all visitors. Liverpool rose from humble beginnings to become the second city of the Empire and one of the greatest ports in the World. Today this glorious location hosts spectacular festivals, provides settings for Film and TV and is home to Liverpool’s Cruise Terminal.

2. Walking Tour of Liverpool’s Medieval Streets

Liverpool - 'The New York of Europe'

Success followed the opening of the world’s first commercial enclosed wet dock in 1715. Maritime trade and commercial wealth funded one of the finest collections of listed buildings, galleries and museums outside of London. The secret roles the port played in both British and American Wars are revealed in some fascinating places. Highlights of the tour include the Sailors Church, Town Hall, Western Approaches, site of Liverpool Castle, trading place of Merchants and the acclaimed Liverpool One Shopping Complex.
