Student Membership Options

As a BCLA student member you have access to a whole range of online member benefits that are unique to the BCLA. The online resources are designed to help you with your studies, increase your knowledge and your confidence in contact lenses and to help you in your future chosen profession. You can also attend some BCLA events for free or at a discounted student rate.

The BCLA has broken down its student membership in the categories below. Please note when signing up for student memberships you will need to provide valid student ID, you will need to upload this when completing the online joining process.

If you already have signed up, please do not create a duplicate account. If you have forgotten your password, you can reset this by following the instructions here.

Accepted proof of student status can include the following: 
- Valid Student ID card
- Letter from your university/college with enrolment dates
- Letter from your supervisor (Pre-reg and Trainee CLOs)

Pre-reg student membership

Recommended for:
All UK based student members in their Pre-reg year and 
trainee CLO's. Those completing Full Time Postgraduate
studies are also eligible for this membership.

Undergraduate students who are in full time education in the UK. You will need to provide proof of your student status.
