BLOG: The CLAE app – all the research info you need in the palm of your hand

BCLA members can now keep up to date with the latest published papers with a smartphone app giving them access to the Contact Lens and Anterior Eye journal (CLAE).

The app is the result of an extensive project between the BCLA and Elsevier, aimed at allowing members to access the CLAE articles quickly and easily while they are on the move.

The app is easy to use and users can find, scan and locate articles all by logging in with their existing BCLA credentials.

BCLA chief executive Cheryl Donnelly said: “The continued rise of the smartphone has resulted in a constant desire to have access to the information we need, wherever we are.

“The mobile phone has become the device of choice for accessing information online and it was vital we gave our members access to the very latest research at all times.

“We are thrilled to have worked with Elsevier on this project and we’re delighted with the result. Hopefully our members will now make the most of this technology to ensure they quickly and easily stay up to date with the very latest research.”

The free CLAE journal app for iOS and Android can be downloaded today, just search the App Store or Google Play store for ‘Contact Lens and Anterior Eye’.
