In our next conference highlight, we feature a presentation by Stephanie Campbell MCOptom, Optometrist and PhD student at Cardiff University.

In her presentation “Little eyes, big vision problems. Let's talk contact lenses”, Stephanie will look at how contact lenses have the the potential to positively change the life of a child.

When to prescribed contact lenses in children is often a hotly debated topic.  In her lecture, Stephanie will explore the risks associated with their use in children and how they can be managed along the way.  She will emphasise the importance of building trust with your younger patients and how communication is key.

The College of Optometrists and the BCLA have teamed up to offer dedicated contact lens sessions offering contact lens CET points at Optometry Tomorrow 2016 (13-14 March 2016, Birmingham Hilton Metropole).  To book a place visit www.optometrytomorrow.org, or call the OT events team on +44 (0)20 7766 4347.
