Find out more about the fitting of Ortho K lenses and how they can be used as part of a myopia management plan.

It is one of the hottest topics in modern optometry and delegates at BCLA UK will be able to find out more about the fitting of Ortho K lenses and how they can be used as part of a myopia management plan.
The lecture at BCLA UK, being held at The Belfry on June 12/13, will explore the patient journey for Ortho K, covering the latest information about myopia control.
The talk, by Katie Harrop (pictured) will describe the current thinking behind the peripheral image shell theory in Orthokeratology and will address the risks associated with being myopic.

Those attending will have the chance to split into smaller groups to discuss the topics with their peers, including an opportunity to look at current practice and we discuss myopia with young patients and their parents.

The lecture will then move to the practical aspects of how to incorporate myopia management into practice and enable the attendees to consider changes to their examination protocols.

The talk will be held as part of a series of CET lectures during BCLAUK – a new event aimed at boosting eye care professionals’ confidence with contact lenses and maximising the potential of both themselves and their practice.

Up to 44 CET points are available throughout the two-day conference. For more information or to register click here.
